Volunteers Needed and Get your H1N1 Vaccinations Free!
FAN, HSD's new volunteer initiative hosts it's first volunteer project will be in conducted in partnership with the City's Emergency Preparedness Department for the H1N1 POD (Point of Dispensing) Vaccination Program. From October to December H1N1 vaccinations will be given at 103 PODs at 19 locations throughout the City. The Family Ambassadors will "Adopt-A-POD" at the El Sereno Recreation Center on Saturday, November 7th from 7:30am - 5:30pm. Staff will be recruiting 25-30 FAN volunteers to help manage the process for the day. Vaccinations are free to the public and volunteers are still needed.
